Call for Entry: The 2nd Regional Book Award
In order to identify and introduce valuable books on Iranian studies in the Indian subcontinent countries, the Secretariat of the World Award for Book of the Year of the I.R.I will hold the 2nd Regional Book Award ceremony for the first published books during the last two years 2015-2016. Entries must have been published in the Indian subcontinent, i.e. the southern region of Asia.

Entries Eligibility:
1) Subject areas are limited to Iranian studies within which there are several sub-areas as follows:
Iran in general, Persian language and linguistics, anthropology, history of science in Iran, Persian literature , Islamic mysticism and philosophy of Iran , Iranian history, Iranian art and architecture, history and civilization of ancient Persia, translation of Iranian thinkers' works, contemporary Iranian studies.
2) Submitted entries must have such noteworthy characteristics as:
Creativity and Ingenuity
Cultural valuableness and influence
Valid and authentic references
Proper Hindi-translation styles and criteria in translated books
Authentic rules and principles observed for critical edition/modification of texts with necessary illustrations and short exegeses
Note: All spoken languages of the Indian subcontinent are to be considered.
Note: Entries must be void of misspellings, and must have appropriate quality in terms of volume-content, chapters, coherence and consistency of chapters, technical indexes, volume designing.
To be considered as a candidate for the award, all publishers, authors, translators, and editors are hereby invited to submit/mail their books to either of these addresses before the end of November 2017:
