This book ranks among the important Islamic book on the history of science on the theme of optics, which has been published by the National Council for Culture, Arts, and letters of Kuwait. The book consists of seven treatises. Articles on to three were published in 1982 by the same publisher, and articles four and five were published in two volumes in 2003 with the Arabic text and the English translations together with an introduction. The editor has spent some years on it and has managed to edit the Arabic text quite well and observe the old methods of editing.
