Professor Sabine Schmidtke In 1990, at age 25, Ms.Sabine Schmidtke succeeded in defending her doctoral dissertation on the Theology of al-Allama alHilli. She completed her studies at Oxford University under the tutorship of Professor Madlung and is presently teaching Islamic studies at the University of Berlin. In addition to teaching , she is occupied in research and is currently conducting studies on the sages of illumination (of the spirit) . In this field she has written and article on metempsychosis between the sages of illumination. Various articles by Ms.Schmidtke have been published in scientific journals. She has also cooperated in writing the Encyclopedia Iranica and the Qur`anic Encyclopedian.
