Dr. Soheil Zakkar was born in Hamat town in Syria, on 1936. He was educated in Damascus (1963) and London (1969) , in Islamic history course. Now he lectures in Damascus, Mohammad –Ibn- Abdulah, Constantine and sana`a universities. He is one of the right members of reconstruction group of Omavian masque in Damascus, and member of the Arab historiography, founder of military history museum of Sham (a Syrian town) and is the vice chancellor assistant of institute of Arab historians in Cario.
