Description

The language of birds, Manteq ut- Tayr, is the work of Persian mystical poet Farid ud- Din 'Attar of the thirteenth century, one of the greatest Sufis, with Rumi, the medieval Persia. Looking for A- Absolute is illustrated by the travel party seeking Simorgh birds, their mysterious king. They go through many trials symbolized by various valleys. In each of these places, they are asked to sacrifice aspects of their being before abandoning their deepest self. This is the necessary condition to achieve the first aim consciously. Birds arrive at the top of the mountain Kaf , where Simorgh the king welcomes them and tells them that it is their mirror as they are hers. It is then that the real quest.
