Li Ling is a Chair Professor of Humanity of the Peking University, where he has taught since 1985, and a foreign honorary member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has broad interest in Chinese Archaeology, Paleography, and Early Chinese Literature. He received his M.A. from the Department of Archaeology of the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has published copiously on Chinese classics, history, and bronze inscriptions and the silk and bamboo manuscripts, including the book series of “Our Classics,” “Our China,” and The Chu Silk Manuscripts in both Chinese and English editions. Of his many publications, Reading Persia has recently been published.
