Dr. Efim Anatolievich Rezvan was born in 1957 in St.Petersburg. Upon completing secondary school, he continued his studies at the College of Orientalism in his place of birth. In 1984, he received his doctoral dergree in Qur`anic studies. He is the deputy head of the St. Petersburg branch of the College of Orientalism of the Russian Academy of Science, as well as the editor- in – chief of "Manuscripta Orientalia. " While most of his activities are in field of Qur`anic Studies. He has also published books on relations.
