Jylie Scott Meisami is the assistant professor of Persian language at Eastern Institute of Oxford. She has written a number of books on Persian language and literature, among them, Medieval Persian Poetry (Princeton 1987), Persian Historiograph Until the End of Twelfth Century (Edinburgh 1999). Translation of Bahr al-Fawa'ed (Salt Lake City 1991), translation of Haft Peykar (Seven Images) of Nizami Ganjavi (Oxford 1995). She has also served as the assistant editor of Encyclopedia of Arabic Literature (Routledge 1998). Julie Scott Meisami is also the editor of Middle East Literature Quarterly.
