This book has 750 entries that are organized in alphabetic order. More than 450 researchers from more than 30 countries have contributed to this encyclopedia. The diversity of the articles is very interesting and some entries, particulary those related to social and Womens issues are totally new. The period by this encyclopedia is from 18th century to contemporary time and the language is simple, clear and non-technical. There is a good balance in distribution of Articles. In these four volumes, the proportion of articles on shiism, Iran and the Islamic Revolution is very good.
