Silvia Di Vincenzo is currently assistant professor in history of medieval philosophy at IMT. She is graduated with a PhD in pholosophy from the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa and her research interests revolve around the transmission of ideas in the Latin and Arabic Middle Ages, especially in connection with their Ancient Greek sources. In 2018, under the guidance of Professor Bertolachi, Silvia Di Vincenzo defended her essay on "Edition and Translation of the Kitāb al-Madḫal". She is currently a member of the Société Internationale d’Histoire des Sciences et de la Philosophie Arabes et Islamiques (SIHSPAI), the International Albertus Magnus Society, and the Société Internationale pour l’Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale (SIEPM). She has published numerous articles about the Kitāb al-Madḫal of Avicenna’s Kitāb al-Šifāʾ and its manuscripts such as: ‘A Discipline or Part of a Discipline: Logic on the Border of Metaphysics and Psychology in Avicenna’s Kitāb al-Šifā’ and ‘Early Exegetical Practice on Avicenna’s Šifāʾ: Faḫr al-Dīn al-Rāzī’s Marginalia to Logic’.
